The American Association of Professional Landmen unites more than 14,000 landmen and land-related persons throughout 44 affiliated local associations in the United States and in Canada. AAPL serves as the voice of the landman profession to encourage fair trading terms that work in the best interest of all parties, wise utilization of natural resources and responsible employment of the land’s surface. Through relevant information, comprehensive education and targeted networking, AAPL assists land professionals in deepening their industry knowledge, elevating their careers and, ultimately, creating new business opportunities. Recognized throughout the industry as indicators of competency, proficiency and professionalism, AAPL offers three certifications to members that are proven to enhance a member’s credibility in the industry and to increase earning potential for landmen. All AAPL members abide by AAPL’s code of ethics and standards of practice.
